About

Intro

Born Andrew Tan Meng Tzen( ndrutan) ,1982, Penang to once a couple – Boon Hee & Julie. Andrew received his primary education from SRK Stowell (class of 1995) making some great friends along the way. By default, Andrew attended BM High School (1999) where most of shity stuffs were done. Boys are meant to be boys.

College days

College years at International College (now known as Inti International College) was one of his best years (also one of the most screwed up 12 months) with his all time buddy Myi. Mamaking for 6 hours was some kind of routine. Day starts at 3pm for them most of the time. Was ‘involved’ in two major accidents, killing one old aunty.Sad.

Anyway, results were not all that good.

Uni days

Andrew was an undergrad of Deakin University,Melbourne. Majored in Marketing & Finance (i struggled) and graduated (with fairly good results) in year 2004. Lived in 2/52 McIntyre St, Burwood with four very one of a kind people.Managed to get along well.

Everything were fully sponsored by Mum & RGP. I believe they deserve all the best and all the love in this world. I truly love them.

First ‘real’ job

Attended a few interview. Some said Andrew has no charisma, some intreviewers are just plain unprofessional. Got hired by Exel Logistics (now known as DHL) by CK Ooi as a management trainee. He had 15 employees under him, being Andrew, he did not last long. He saw there were no great opportunities to grow and tasks were too routine, he called it quit after 12 months.

Moving On and Today

Joint Goche initially as a recruiter but the plan did not materialize. Andrew was later placed in the event management team since then. Was lucky to be given the opportunity to work with some of the best people you can meet. Customers are always challenging, satisfying them does give him greater satisfaction. Organised a great number of events, building an impressive milestones & records – both personal and for Goche.

Currently Andrew is extremely happy to be working with his crew, but at the same time, he is considering his options and continuosly seeking opportunities. Decisions to be made soon, real soon.

His loves

Once fell deeply with his Swift but still loving her pretty much now. Loves electronic gadgets but most often he can’t afford them. Currently into Moleskines.Plan to pick up photography but not anytime soon. Dog lover who does not own a dog, all he can keep now are fish with an aquascape tank

Admire people who can draw and design because Andrew can’t draw. Enjoy and appreciate designs that are clean , clear and spacious – basically Zen is his way.
